Germans to deport 94,000 Asylum Seekers from the Balkans?

deportovanjeGermany will deport 94,000 asylum seekers from the Balkans and forbid them re-entering to Germany, said the President of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF), Manfred Schmidt.

The main reason is that the Balkan countries have been declared as safe from political persecution and that these are mostly economic or social immigrants.

“Almost all of them will receive the decision on the rejection of asylum together with the notice on the ban on re-entering and staying in Germany,” said Schmidt.

The background of these measures is the reform of the German law on residence, and only those who are very well integrated and those who have a residence permission are allowed to stay in Germany, said Schmidt, who also believes that the monthly allowance of 143 EUR should be canceled for the asylum seekers as well.

On the other side, those who do not have requirement for a residence permit will be returned to their home countries as soon as possible. A foreigner who has been expelled or deported, will not be able to reenter Germany for five years, said Schmidt.
