Gradual Recovery of BH Economy to follow?

BH economyDuring 2015, the gradual recovery of the economy in BiH is expected. During this year, BiH should largely repair the damage caused by floods so the overall business environment could become more favorable compared to the last year. On the other hand, industrial production in BiH, which is largely export-oriented should be supported by the positive developments in the international economic environment, as said in the document “National program of economic reforms“.

The recovery of almost all sectors of the EU economy in this year, as stated, will positively affect the manufacturing processes as in  the wider region as well as in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Increased level of export demand will result in the improvement of production in all sectors of industrial manufacturing in BiH, where according to projections of the Directorate for economic planning (DEP), annual production growth of about 5% is expected. The industries that have a high share in the structure of the manufacturing industry in BiH and industries that are mainly export-oriented (metal industry, mechanical and automotive industry, wood processing and furniture manufacturing and chemical industry) should additionally use their export potential in 2015.

On the other hand, the process of the reconstruction of flooded areas and the continuation of investment cycle in infrastructure during 2015 should result in the considerable increase in the production in those industries that are determined by the domestic demand (production of constructing materials and metal products).

“During 2015, what is expected is that the energetic sector that has a significant role in the overall industrial production and includes workers, sector for electricity production and production of oil derivatives should increase the production by more than 5%, which will additionally improve the level of industrial production in BiH.
