13023694_1756831471220196_484854790_nTourism Cluster of Herzegovina was working hard over the past year in order to increase traffic of Mostar Airport, aiming to create new jobs and promote the region of Herzegovina as a tourist destination.

Tourism Cluster Herzegovina took over an active role in the preparation and development of the “Study of feasibility and the economic impact of establishing cooperation between low-cost airline companies and Airport Mostar”, in order for better advocacy towards competent authorities and realization of cooperation with some of the low-cost airlines.

From Cluster also announced promotional campaigns #myHerzegovina which should raise awareness of the beauty and tourism potential of Herzegovina, both among tourists and locals. The campaign will also include an open photo contest on social networks with included #myHerzegovina and competition for travelogue bloggers who will be invited on the tour #myHerzegovina. More information about the activities can be found on the official website: www.tk-hercegovina.ba.

From the Cluster noted that they received the biggest support for this activities from the Government of Switzerland through the Swiss Embassy in BiH, through the project MarketMakers conducted by a consortium of Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation and Kolektiv Ltd. (Posao.ba).

Also, the project MarketMakers provided support for the Cluster, as the holder of advocacy activities, for participating at the Airport Traffic Growth training that was held in London at the end of last year, which was organized by Global Travel Investments Ltd. Manchester from UK, with the aim of establishing contacts and ultimately increasing traffic at Airport Mostar.
