Growth of GDP in BiH in the first Quarter this Year

In the first three months of 2017, the real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) compared to the same quarter last year, was 2.7 percent.

Seasonally adjusted data series show growth of GDP in the first quarter of this year by 0.4 percent compared to the previous quarter, is stated from the Agency for Statistics of BiH.

In the first quarter of this year, in comparison to the same period of the previous year, there was a significant real growth of gross value in the following activities: arts, entertainment and recreation 12.3 percent, wholesale and retail trade 8.8 percent and financial activities and insurance activities 6.1 percent.

Decrease in the real gross value was recorded in the following sectors: transport and storage 6.4 percent and professional, scientific and technical activities 2.4 percent.
