Growth in income from indirect taxes, in August the largest monthly amount of income was collected.

The Administration for Indirect Taxation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (UIOBiH) records new record revenues from indirect taxes, so in August, the largest monthly amount of revenue since the establishment of the institution was collected, as much as 979 million BAM.

Cumulatively, revenues from indirect taxes in eight months of 2023 amounted to six billion and 931 million BAM and are higher by 495 million BAM or 7.69 percent compared to the same period in 2022 when they amounted to six billion and 436 million BAM.

In the period January-August 2023, the ITA returned to the economy one billion and 454 million BAM in VAT refunds, so that the net collected revenues were distributed to users in the period January-August 2023, namely the state, entities and the District of Brčko BiH, amounted to five billion and 477 million BAM and are higher by 407 million BAM compared to the income that users received from the Single Account for the same period in 2022.

An amount of 679 million BAM has been allocated for the financing of state institutions in the period January-August 2023.

The rest of the collected revenues from indirect taxes “ended up” with the entities and Brčko District of BiH.

Thus, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received two billion 982 million BAM from the single account, the Republika Srpska one billion and 614 million BAM and the Brčko District of BiH 165 million BAM.

In addition to distributed revenues, based on a special toll for the construction of highways and the construction and reconstruction of other roads (0.25 BAM), the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received an additional 141 million BAM, the Republika Srpska 93 million BAM and the Brčko District of BiH 4.8 million BAM .

The difference represents a reserve in a separate account for tolls in the amount of 0.25 BAM, the UIOBiH announced.
