On Thursday, a high-ranking delegation from the US State Department will pay an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and for now only a meeting with members of the BiH Presidency is planned, it was unofficially confirmed to Klix.ba.

As told to the portal, the State Department delegation will be led by Brandon Hanrahan, acting US Assistant Secretary of State for Europe, and his deputy Mark Fleming.

According to the latest information, the visit is planned to include a meeting with members of the BiH Presidency, Željko Komšić, Denis Bećirović and Željka Cvijanović.

It is also worth noting that it is not known whether this delegation will hold meetings with other officials within BiH.

Hanrahan has been in the position of acting US Assistant Secretary of State for Europe since April 25 of this year, and in that position he replaced former acting assistant Louis Bono.

He is also the head of the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs within the US State Department.
His deputy, Mark Fleming, was previously director of the Bureau of Nordic, Baltic, and Arctic Affairs within the State Department, Klix.ba writes.
