moneyThe public debt of B&H at the end of last year amounted to around 11.8 billion BAM, from which total external debt, including credit arrangements with the IMF, the World Bank and the European Investment Bank, amounted to a record figure of 8.4 billion BAM.

It has increased for 3.5 billion BAM in the past 7 years, and it is greater than the total amount of all budgets, which amounted to 5.8 billion BAM for 2015.

Borrowing from commercial banks is increased by 11.2 %.

The internal debt of B&H, which among other things includes bonds, treasury bills and loans of commercial banks, amounted to about 3.3 billion BAM at the end of September last year, which represents an increase of 11.2 %.

The total internal debt of Republika Srpska is higher than in the FB&H for about one billion and 400 million BAM. Similar situation is in cities and municipalities where the RS is more indebted, but we should not forget the cantons.

The total debt of Republika Srpska in 2015 exceeded 60 % of GDP, while that debt in FB&H is around 38 %.
