Iftar for more than 5.000 Fasting Persons organized in Kakanj

Kakanj iftarOne of the biggest this year’s iftars in B&H was held last night at the stadium of FC Rudar Kakanj. Iftar, which was jointly organized by the Municipality Kakanj and business entitites from Kakanj, was attended by more than 5.000 persons.

Municipality Kakanj delivered heir invitations to the Organization of families of martyr and fallen soldiers of the municipality Kakanj, Association of soldiers awarded with the highest war recognition “Golden Lilly“ of  the municipality Kakanj and other veterans’ organizations due to the distribution to their members.

On the invitation of the Municipality, iftar was attended by students of generation of primary and high schools from Kakanj, representatives of local communities and sports clubs, non-governmental organizations, imams (religious leaders) of the Majlis of the Islamic Community Kakanj etc.

Business entities from Kakanj sent invitations to their business partners, employees, customers, service users, citizens of Kakanj etc.

Iftar was attended by the Honorary Consul of B&H in Izmir, Kemal Baysak, representatives of the Alliance of associations gathering citizens of Turkey whose ancestors come from B&H, representatives of the Turkish battalion of EUFOR, who are in a mission of peace in our country, directors of public enterprises and many others.

The Mayor of the Municipality, Nermin Mandra emphasized in his speech that this is the second year of organizing outdoor iftars in Kakanj, and reminded that the last year’s number of 3.000 is increased to 5.000 invitations this year, with a desire for it to be increased from year to year.
