For the first time in Banja Luka, “Immortal Regiment” will take place on May 9th 2017 in the organization by the Government of Republika Srpska – the Committee for Fostering of the Tradition of Freedom Wars with the help of the SUBNOR Municipal Committees.
The local population and Russian compatriots will go out to walk in the main streets holding photographs of their cousins, living and dying fighters of fascism during the National Liberation War in Yugoslavia.
This event will begin with the formation of the colon from 10:00 o’clock until 10:30 o’clock, which will then move from Petar Kocic Park to the Paladin Fighters Square, where the rest of the program will be held.
“Immortal Regiment” is an international social action that began in 2011 in the cities of Russia on the Day of Victory on May 9th. In 2016, the event was successfully held in 42 countries of the world, but this year is expected for number of states to double twice.
