Increase in Tourist Arrivals in Bosnia and Herzegovina in March

In Bosnia and Herzegovina in March 2026, tourists achieved 108,477 arrivals, which is 14.7% more compared to February 2026 and 11% compared to March 2025.

In March of this year, tourists achieved 228,214 overnight stays, which is 5.5% more compared to February 2026, and 10.1% more compared to March 2025. In the structure of total overnight stays, the share of domestic tourists was 31.5%o, while the share of foreign tourists was 68.5%.

The number of overnight stays by domestic tourists in March 2026 was 2.2% higher compared to February 2026, and 12.8% higher compared to March 2025. The number of foreign tourist overnight stays was 7.1% higher than in February 2026, and 8.9% higher than in March 2025.

In the structure of foreign tourist overnight stays, the most overnight stays were recorded by tourists from: Croatia with a share of 26.3%, followed by Serbia with 15.6%, Slovenia with 7.8%, Turkey with 7.2%, Italy and Germany with 4.1% each, and Montenegro with 3.2%.

– The above countries account for 68.3% of the total number of foreign tourist overnight stays, while the remaining 31.7% of overnight stays are recorded by tourists from other countries – data from the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports Fena.

In March 2026, tourists in Bosnia and Herzegovina had 19,939 rooms, apartments and camping sites available with a capacity of 44,093 beds.

Compared to March 2025, there was a three percent decrease in availability in rooms, apartments and camping sites, while there was a 1.9 percent decrease in beds.
