Increase of Prices of Products, Inflation in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Prices of products and services for personal consumption in Bosnia and Herzegovina, measured by the consumer price index in March 2026, increased on average by 1.7 percent compared to the previous month.

Price increases were recorded in the following categories: Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco by 0.9 percent, Clothing and Footwear by 1.8 percent, Housing and Utilities by 0.8 percent, Healthcare by 0.3 percent, Transport by 12.6 percent, Recreation and Culture by 0.2 percent, Education by 0.4 percent, and Restaurants and Hotels by 0.3 percent.

According to data from the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the price level in March 2026 increased by 5.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

Average price increases were recorded in the following categories: Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages by 3.3 percent, Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco by 4.1 percent, Housing and Utilities by 9.4 percent, Furnishings, Household Equipment and Routine Household Maintenance by 2.4 percent, Healthcare by 6.3 percent, Transport by 11.1 percent, Communications by 1.5 percent, Recreation and Culture by 4.6 percent, Education by 3.6 percent, Restaurants and Hotels by 6.5 percent, and Other Goods and Services by 2.4 percent.

The average decrease in prices was recorded in the Clothing and Footwear category, down by 6.3 percent.
