book-fair1Fourth International Book Fair which was held in Tuzla in organisation of Merkator BH and publishing house ‘University Press’ Sarajevo, and ‘FormaNuova’ Tuzla, which lasted from 22 to 27 May has finished, reports Fena.

After 5 days of fair, the organisers were satisfied with the number of visitors and with the number of sold books.

‘The exhibitors were satisfied with organisation, promotion and the sale, and we’re satisfied with number of exhibitors, and we’re especially glad that the number of collective visits has increased’ said the manager of the company ‘FormaNuova’ Tuzla, Zlatko Alidžanović.

He said that the Tuzla fair is well positioned in comparison to other book fairs in the region.

Alidžanović said that the entrance to the fair was free of charge, so the estimates of the number of visitors are unclear, but the increase was obvious.

Manager of IK ‘Zalihica’ from Sarajevo Almir Zalihić said that the hallmark of this year’s fair were domestic books and added that the visitors often bought poetry books, and the book ‘Uspavanka za Knjigosaura’ was very well received by youngest readers.

Those who wanted to buy school books, had the opportunity to buy them at the stand of ‘University Press’ from Sarajevo and their manager said that they are happy with the number of sold books.

Book ‘Ako ti jave da sam pao’  by Dario Džamonja, ‘Sjeme smrti’ by Dževad Karahasan, ‘Uspavanka za knjigosaura’ by Jagoda Iličić and ‘Camera Obscura’ by Almir Zalihić were proclaimed the books of the day while the book ‘Sjeme smrti’ by Karahasan was chosen to be the best book of the fair.

Next fair will be held in May 2014.
