The world’s largest international police organization Interpol has issued an international warrant on Monday for Zoran Stupar, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH’s) citizen charged of crimes against humanity.

Court of BiH has in mid-Nov. 2018, confirmed an indictment against Stupar, Bosnian Serb and the former member of Vlasenica Public Security Station (SJB) during the country’s 1992-1995 war. The warrant was issued after Stupar failed to respond to calls from the country’s court.

The indictment reads that Stupar et al. are accused of having “personally and directly” participated in attacks on villages and other places in the Vlasenica municipality, located 90 kilometers northeast of the capital Sarajevo, inhabited by Bosniaks-Muslim population, from April 1992 to the end of September the same year.

“During attacks, they are accused of involvement in the murders of at least 16 Bosniaks, the persecution of several dozen civilians, including minors, of detaining people at the “Susica detention camp” and the police Public Security Station in Vlasenica, and of robbing Bosniak houses and setting them on fire” Indictment continues.
