The Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade has issued an order to open a case and identify the persons who, as they claim, spread false information to the public that a “sound cannon” was used at yesterday’s protest in Belgrade.
After the UKCS Emergency Center denied information that dozens of citizens with ailments that could have been caused by the use of a “sound cannon” were treated at this health facility, the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade ordered the First Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office to open a case and order the identification of the persons who spread such information to the public.
The order was issued due to suspicion that the criminal offense of causing panic and disorder under Article 343 of the Criminal Code was committed in this way, the Prosecutor’s Office announced.
