hr_Inzko-ValentinHigh Representative to BiH Valentin Inzko said yesterday  that he supports the idea that the issue of ID number should be solved at the level of BiH, but he did not exclude other options of the international community.

‘The best thing would be that the domestic process speeds up , but other options of the International Community are  also possible’, said Inzko.

He noted that a session of the Peace Implementation Council will be held next week, and the issue of ID Numbers will be discussed at the session.

‘In the shortest time possible, next week, I’ll call a special session of 12 ambassadors of PIC in order to find the solution in the best interest of citizens and so that we could work with politicians to find the permanent solution for the ID number’, said Inzko.

He noted that he promised protesters, who blockaded BiH Institution because of the lack of permanent solution of ID number, to call a special session of PIC .

Protesters also blockaded 350 foreigner , participants of the session of the European Found for Southeast Europe, and yesterday, in early morning with Inzko’s mediation they were evacuated.

Inzko, however, had to promise protesters that the issue of ID number will be solved, since that disables the issuance of documents to newborn babies and that PIC will deal with that issue at the session which will be held next week.
