Due to the heavy rainfall that has hit the region, the water level of the Sava River is not rising and there is no danger of flooding – confirmed today from the Public Safety Department of the Government of Brčko District of BiH.

The Head of the Department, Bogdan Bratić, with his colleagues, visited all the watercourses in the District today in order to make sure on the spot that there is no danger of overflowing rivers in the southern part of the District.

He said that the teams will monitor the area and react in a timely manner if the precipitation is heavier.

The Captaincy of Brčko District said that in the last 24 hours the water level of the Sava River has risen by 113 centimeters and that at the Županja measuring station it is 155 cm.

They added that there is no fear that the Sava River will receive all the rainwater from the District in the next two days.
