Israel again attacked Targets belonging to the Houthi Militia in Yemen

Israel has again struck targets belonging to the Houthi militia in Yemen, the army said on Monday.

The Israeli military targeted “attacks and dismantled military infrastructure belonging to the Houthi terrorist regime” in the port of Hodeidah in the west of the affected country and other areas, the army said.

Israel said the port was being used to transport weapons from Iran. The Houthis are allies of Tehran and are fighting for control of the country against government forces.

Israel wanted to prevent the militia from rebuilding its infrastructure, which the Israeli military has previously attacked, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said.

The Houthis said in a brief statement on their media that “Israeli enemy aircraft carried out a series of airstrikes on the port of Hodeidah.”

Since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas on October 7, 2023, the Houthis have repeatedly attacked Israel with rockets and drones. They said it was an expression of solidarity with the Gaza-based Palestinian Islamist group.
