The Health Ministry in Gaza, under the administration of Hamas, said that several Palestinians were killed and wounded in an Israeli attack on an ambulance convoy carrying seriously wounded people in Gaza on Friday.
Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf Al-Qudra previously said that Hamas will send critically wounded Palestinians who must be urgently transferred to Egypt for treatment from Gaza City and from north to south, reports Reuters.
A spokesperson for the Israeli military said it was looking into the report.
“The occupation targeted the convoy in more than one location outside the door of al-Shifa Hospital,” Ashraf al-Qidra the ministry spokesperson said.
He said the convoy was targeted both at the hospital gate and at Ansar Square a kilometer away. Qidra did not give a figure for casualties in the incident.
