Karacic: We Wanted, but it Was Not Our Day

handball6Handball national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was unable to qualify to the next round of the World Championship in Qatar. They lost the last match against Croatia with the difference of seven goals, and our players say that the reason for that is that they are exhausted and disappointed.

“They outplayed us. Our batteries emptied. We wanted to succeed but it was not our day.

We seemed so helpless. All these events had an impact on us. We gave 100% from us, but there were no enough strength. Otherwise, the tournament was good except this last game“, said Ivan Karacic after the game adding that he is disappointed but still proud of how the BH players played.

Josip Peric, said that at the beginning of tonight’s game was clear how the defeat in the match against Tunisia affected our players.

Muhamed Toromanovic has already directed the power to the following competitions and emphasized that our team will be a lot better in them than in the World Championship.

“We will try to win the third prize. I would love to play some variants for the European Championship. I think that we have real chances to pass on it, but we should not underestimate anyone because Lithuania has a good team that play great at home. We need to go to two wins, against Lithuania and Belarus“, said Toromanovic.
