KFOR Commander Ozkan Ulutas said that the security situation in Kosovo is stable, but fragile, and that 4,600 soldiers from 28 partner countries and NATO members are ready to respond to any challenge.

“If necessary, we can adjust our position as needed, in accordance with our UN mandate,” Ulutas said.

Regarding the warning of certain foreign intelligence services about the rise of tensions in the north of Kosovo, Ulutaš said that KFOR is ready to respond to any challenge.

“We are well equipped and ready to deal with any situation that may affect the security environment and we continue to act as the third security response, after the Kosovo police and Eulex, with whom we are in close coordination,” Ulutas told Albanian media.

When it comes to his presence at the Serbian Army exercise in Pešter, Ulutas said that it is important to communicate with the general of the Serbian Army in order to detect early signs of potential tension, “Kosovo Online” reports.
