After the session of the House of Peoples of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), where the last missing judge of the FBiH Constitutional Court was elected, the President of the People and Justice (Narod i Pravda – NiP), Elmedin Konakoviccommented on the political processes in BiH.
Konakovic referred to the fact that the 13th extraordinary session of the outgoing House of Peoples of FBiH was short-lived.
“This is what well-prepared sessions look like. Obviously, there were some communications and agreements between some ruling parties in the Federation, and we care that a problem whose solution has been waiting for a long time is solved in just two minutes. We chose in accordance with our personal principles from the list of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) one of the people who were rated with the best rating, making sure that there is a national representation, here at the request of the SDA, some colleagues and us, that this personbe a Bosniak, with which we met all the criteria and today in a very short time and expeditiously elected the missing judge of the FBiH Constitutional Court,” he noted yesterday.
He also commented on the work of the Federal Parliament, stressing that he is not satisfied with the work of the outgoing House of Peoples of FBiH.
“I have said many times, the House of Peoples was actually a voting machine for the ruling structures. People whom I personally and individually respect very much very often came here with orders on how to vote. Very often they had some political agreements, there was no creativity nor we launched some initiatives. One of the good things we did was the rampant increase in electricity prices with the amendment of my colleague Zuljevic and I, for which we had the support of this House. There are a few things that can be praised. It was done out of necessity and the need to verify some processes that were already completed in some political field,” pointed out Konakovic.
Since the HDZ announced negotiations regarding the formation of the government in the next few days, the president of NiP said that his party and its partners are close to reaching an agreement, after which they will discuss with the other parties as well.
“We are still finishing the process within the Trojka and the partners who supported Denis Becirovic and some other parties. I think that you will have some information very soon, maybe already today during the day, so that I do not prejudge anything. We are in the final stage of agreement on the concept of forming a parliamentary of the majority. The final results should be announced today, we worked hard and diligently. I think that the contours of the future parliamentary majority at the level of the state, the FBiH and the cantons will be seen very soon. After that, I expect talks with all political actors, including the HDZ with whom we had no official contacts. We did not call them, nor did they call us,” commented Konakovic.
Konakovic commented on the general elections in BiH, the results of which were confirmed yesterday, and the deadlines for the formation of a new government imposed by the high representative in BiH, Christian Schmidt.
“This is the biggest farce! The worst election process ever conducted in BiH, this is one of the thefts that we are almost used to. I have witnessed thousands of proven processes of invalid ballots, made anyway. In every control count, in every place, in 90 percent of cases, they turned out to be irregularities that are the result of the human mind and hand. In the light of that, to comment on some deadlines as well. Another farce,” explained the president of NiP.
In the end, he said that there is no dilemma as to whether we should talk with the opposition in Republika Srpska (RS) and that the specificity of the BiH political scene must be taken into account, as well as that, in smaller BiH entity, it is necessary to talk with those who are ready for programmatic coalitions, Klix.ba reports.
