Lana Pudar won a historic bronze Medal at the World Swimming Championship

The great swimmer from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Lana Pudar competed in the finals of the World Championship (25 meters) in Abu Dhabi and in the women’s 200 meters butterfly race took third place and won the historic bronze.

Yesterday, Lana from Mostar competed for the medal after she once again broke the record in the history of BiH. swimming, by entering the first finals at the world championship. With a time of 2: 06.07 Pudar took fourth place and announced the finals in a great way.

In the final race, Lana took third place and won a historic bronze medal at the World Championship. Pudar had a time of 2: 04.88, which was more than enough for the third position, because she “escaped” the fourth-placed Svetlana Chimrova, although the Russian entered the final phase of the race with an advantage.

World champion Yufei Zhang from China was ahead of Lana and finished with a time of 2: 03.01, while the silver went to the United States (U.S.) for Charlotte Hook (2: 04.35).

BiH swimmer competed in the finals as the youngest competitor and started in track number six. Pudar recorded a time of 2: 04.88, which was enough for great success and a historic bronze at the festival of the best swimmers in the world (25 meters).

In the competition of 998 swimmers, four competitors are representing the colors of BiH – Lana Pudar (in the disciplines 50 m butterfly, 100 m butterfly, 200 m dolphin) and Iman Avdic(400 m freestyle, 200 m mixed, 400 m mixed) and Emir Muratovic (50 m butterfly, 50 m freestyle, 100 m freestyle) and Nikola Bjelajac (50 m butterfly, 100 m butterfly and 200 m butterfly).

A 14-year-old girl from Sarajevo, Iman Avdic, was the first from BiH who performed and she achieved the 27th time in the 400 m qualifiers with a result of four minutes and 47.42 seconds.
