13022362_1759409794295697_1894636384_nFive-time champion of BiH and double vice-champion of the Balkans, 21 years old Lejla Tanovic has advanced on UCI ranking list by 6 positions and now she occupies the 88th place on the UCI list, which is the best ranking for BiH so far.

After the race in Athens and winning the second place, Tanovic performed at the race in Lamija that took place in 3 stages, where she finished on the podium all 3 times and won the 2nd place in the general standings with new 70 UCI points. After scoring points in Lamija, she expects even better progress on UCI list.

“After two very difficult weeks in which Lejla had two races, one of which was held in stages, we can be very satisfied. She is going home with a total of 90 UCI points, which will bring her new progress on UCI list and get us closer to our goal of entry among 70 best cyclist of the world. However, we have no time to rest, because two more races are waiting for us by the end of the month, the first in Vodice UCI C2, and then in Kamnik UCI C1,” said coach Amar Njemcevic.
