Lucrative Business: BiH Youth Launched Organic Production

For a group of young BiH producers, their hobby has been turned into a business that has helped to develop social networks.

Starting a business is not an easy decision, and this was a challenge for them. They decided to engage in organic production, while social networks have helped them develop their business.

“Work always pays off”, said Amel Mukača as he unloaded groceries from the van. With his brother and a few other friends, they began this business of selling organic vegetables that offers home delivery.

“It all began as a hobby, which grew into a good business opportunity’’, said a journalist from Al Jazeera in Sarajevo Aksel Zaimović.

They are available 24 hours, and they generally receive online orders and are satisfied with what they have achieved so far.

While more than 50 percent of young people in BiH are unemployed and there are almost no incentives from the state, these young people are earning enough money to cover costs of their study.

“The concept of this business lies in the use of untapped potential. Amel says that there are opportunities everywhere, but it is necessary to know how to recognize them”, reports Zaimović.

One of the opportunities lies in agriculture, because the entire project is based exclusively on organic production and is currently cooperation with 15 farmers.

The path to this modest success was not easy. It was necessary to invest much effort and dedication to finally achieve good results.

Mukača wants to be an example that in BiH there is a new generation of young people who do not wait for someone else to provide them with a better life, but rather to take matters into their own hands.
