How many Unemployed Persons in BiH were in June?

Unemployment and Wages in B&H oslobodjenje.baAccording to the institutions and employment services in BiH, there were 518,034 unemployed persons in BiH in the month of June.

In comparison to the 31st of May 2016, this number represents an increase for 823 or 0.16 %, according to the Labour and Employment Agency of BiH.

Of the total number of persons who are seeking for job, a total of 271,254 or 52.36 % are women.

The largest number of registered unemployed persons are those with third level education or skilled workers who make 33.39 %, and workers with secondary education who make 27.78 %.

In June 2016, employers reported a total of 7,185 needs for employment of new workers to the employment services in BiH, while the number of registered persons who terminated their contracts in the reporting period was 8219.

The right to health care was achieved by 416,911 persons or 80.48 % of the total registered unemployed persons in BiH.

In May 2016 was registered 724,833 employed persons and 518,857 unemployed. The registered unemployment rate was 41.7 %, and survey unemployment rate for 2016 was 25.4 %.

According to the Agency for Statistics, the number of employed persons in legal entities in BiH in May 2016 amounted to 724,833, of which 299,586 were women. In comparison to April 2016, the number of employees was increased by 0.1 %, while the number of employed women decreased also by 0.1 %.

Rate of registered unemployment for May 2016 was 41.7 % and in comparison to April it decreased by 0.3 % point.
