Mayors of Sarajevo and Podgorica signed Agreement on Twinning of Cities

The mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karic, together with the mayor of Podgorica, signed an agreement on the twinning of the capitals of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.

Karic said that Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro are two friendly countries.

“Montenegrins are people, but above all they are our neighbors, friends, a nation with an identity. Montenegrins have always been adorned with “chojstvo”, which means fairness, telling the truth as it is, without swearing and generalizing.

I am glad that the Montenegrin Parliament adopted the Resolution on the condemnation of the genocide against the Bosniaks of Srebrenica. Those who run away from this truth into abstract explanations and generalizations are neither human, nor do they have personalities. That’s why it was my honor today to be in the company of those who speak the truth loud and clear and are ready to look it in the face, and distance themselves from those who run away from the truth,” Karic said.

“The agreement on the twinning of Sarajevo and Podgorica, which I signed today with the respected mayor Ivan Vukovic, is the crown of good and high-quality cooperation between our cities,” Karic concluded.
