BiH highwayThe construction of Sarajevo-Belgrade highway strengthen the relations between municipalities Gorazde and Foca in the RS. In addition, a meeting of Mayor Muhamed Ramović and Radisav Masic, met a purpose of joint representation when it comes to lobbying for route to go over Gorazde and Foca.

“We want to send a clear message to everyone in the Federation and the Republika Srpska and to stress on the fact that the highway certainly needs to go through Gorazde. Gorazde represents a center of the region, and I agree that the highway needs to go over Foca, because in that way many communities of East Sarajevo, the Federation of Trnovo, Trnovo RS, Kalinovik, Brod, Foca, Trebinje, will connect Montenegro, Niksic and Podgorica, Gorazde, Novo Gorazde, Cajnice and Ustiprača. There are great reasons for this highway to go through this territory, “said Muhamed Ramovic, Mayor of Gorazde.

They also talked about the possibilities of establishing a regional landfill which is very important for all the local communities on this area.

“Gorazde and Foca so far had a  good cooperation which will be strengthened by the joint application to the IPA funds. We are ready to help Foca in all situations of civil protection or intervention by the Professional fire brigade of Gorazde, which up until now, has answered to every received call and intervened in the field of neighboring municipalities. Moreover, we are bound by a large number of students from Gorazde who are studying in Foca, which is an additional motive for joint cooperation that will be even better in the field of sport, culture and education”, said Ramovic.

A delegation of Gorazde visited the location where the Aladža mosque is rebuilt.
