Member of BiH Presidency harshly criticised Suljagic’s Letter

Željka Cvijanović, a member of the Presidency of BiH, reacted to Emir Suljagić’s letter.

She harshly criticized, as she stated, the attitude of Bosniak political representatives towards other victims.

Cvijanović assessed that, as she claims, the attitude of Bosniak representatives towards Serbian, Jewish and Roma victims of the Jasenovac and Donja Gradina camps is “shameful”, accusing them of a selective approach in which, according to her, “victims of their own people” are favored.

Suljagić quickly responded, saying it was disappointing that she had not addressed or refuted any of the claims in his letter.

“Instead of addressing the substance of these issues, the response has once again shifted towards attributing responsibility to those of us who survived and testified. It would be significant to see a clearer acknowledgement by her of the suffering of the victims of Srebrenica, as well as other crimes committed during the war, with a commitment to a public discourse based on evidence and empathy,” Suljagić said.
