Member of EUFOR Force passed away in an Accident in BiH

On 4th May 2024 two of soldiers from EUFOR were hillwalking during their free time in the area of Travnik when the accident occurred. Upon EUFOR being alerted of this, the EUFOR MEDEVAC helicopter deployed to their location. The EUFOR MEDEVAC faced difficult terrain and weather conditions during this operation.

“The flight doctor and the paramedic attended to the injured solider who was unfortunately pronounced dead on the scene. EUFOR would like to take this time to express their condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of this soldier at this difficult time. The other soldier, who was not injured, was also evacuated by the EUFOR MEDEVAC helicopter. EUFOR will continue to support with any necessary arrangements. EUFOR would also like to express its thanks for the medical facility who provided assistance,” it was stated from EUFOR.
