MIA CS warns Citizens about Outdoor Celebration of New Year’s Eve 2018

There are only two days left until the great celebration – New Year’s Eve 2018. There are many different wishes and the common one is how and where to celebrate that night. Party and celebrations in Sarajevo, Banja Luka and Mostar will be held outdoors.

Around 100.000 guests and visitors want to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Sarajevo, according to tourist community. Preparations are currently in progress, and citizens are satisfied.

Mostar is also conducting preparations for the first public celebration outdoor after 10 years. City administration has allocated 80.000 BAM for this night. They are expecting many tourists.

There are plenty reasons for satisfaction for our youngest citizens as well. “Poste Srpske (Mail of Srpska)” traditionally organized the campaign “I write letter to Santa Claus”.

And in order for the New Year’s Eve to be celebration to remember, we should not forget recommendations of competent services. Celebration in Sarajevo will be secured by large number of police officers, as said from MIA CS. They stated that the city will be blocked from 5 PM on Sunday due to celebration. They are appealing not to bring alcohol or any potentially dangerous objects to the celebration.

“All individuals who get close to the place of public celebration will be checked in details by police officers. Due to that, we appeal not to bring objects that could be taken away on that occasion,” said Suvada Kuldija, the spokesperson of MIA CS.

Works on the stage for New Year’s Eve in capital city of BiH will be completed on Saturday, December 30. Organizers are expecting a large number of people who will celebrate New year’s Eve 2018 together.
