Military Industry in the FBiH achieved a Profit of 27.3 million BAM in 2016

The Government of the FBiH adopted a report of the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry of FBiH on last year’s operation and the situation in companies in the FBiH, in which was stated that in companies with majority state capital were 2,936 workers on December 31, 2016, which is 13 % more compared to the previous year.

Total revenue amounted to 206,974,929, BAM, which represents an increase of 21 % and export revenue amounted to 172,734,343 BAM, which is 29 % more compared to the year of 2015. In 2016, the military industry in the FBiH realized a profit in the amount of 27.390.462 BAM.

The value of the capital on December 31, 2016, was increased by 36,809,017 BAM or it was 20 % higher compared to the previous year. Plans foreseen by the Strategy for the Development of the Military Industry and the Action Plan for the FBiH for the period 2012-2022, in the part that is referring to the period until 2017, were exceeded with the export results in the year of 2016 (172,734,343 BAM).

Business entities achieved these results with the minimal financial support from the Government of the FBiH through subsidies to public and private companies, which amounted to 2.998.000 BAM in 2016, and the funds allocated for 2017 amount to a total of 4.000.000 BAM.

The Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry of the FBiH is tasked to continue monitoring and analyzing the current situation in the military industry and to propose measures and activities to the Government that are aimed at realization of ambitious plans for 2017 and achieving the aims that are in accordance with the Strategy for the Development of the Military Industry and the Action Plan of the FBiH for the period 2012-2022.
