13077209_1760393060864037_2082697894_nGovernment of FBiH gave its consent to the decision of the Supervisory Board of BH Gas on the reduction of the wholesale price of natural gas from the current 550 BAM to 500 BAM per 1000 m3 from April 1, 2016.

“Company Sarajevo Gas, which is a major consumer of gas from BH gas, must follow this trend and reduce the price from thermal plants to end users, and it is required to linearly reduce the price by that amount in order for the ultimate consumers to feel the benefit.

The accumulated problems between Sarajevo Gas and BH Gas will be solved by mutual agreement on writing off part of the debt,” said the Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry of FBiH Nermin Dzindic at the press conference in Mostar.

Dzindic recalled that this is the 4th reduction in the price of gas in the past 6 months, so that gas is now 34 % cheaper than on the 1st of October 2015.

According to him, since the beginning of the procedure for last price cuts, there was a new fall in prices of Gazprom’s gas, which could result in new price drop of BH gas.

“We will propose another recalculation after today’s session of the Government, and based on the new gas prices and on the basis of other reorganization process within BH gas to pass another decision to lower the price of gas from 500 BAM to 450 BAM,” concluded Minister Dzindic.
