Commercial price of such devices exceeds 50.000 US dollars in the world, while the invention by young innovators from Tuzla costs a little over 1.000 BAM.

“What we do in our school is looking for really complicated projects, those with military budgets and which cost millions of dollars, to develop them in roughly a year, together with our professors. After one year, we get projects such as this one,” said the student Kenan Mehmedagić.

There are no many opportunities for presenting research of this kind. Young people are interested, but very often the lack of funds, support or motivation prevent the development of science and creation of innovations.

“Young people are very interested. This means a lot to them. They are spending months preparing their projects and presentations. You can see so many great ideas, robots, students who are making really interesting things in the field of engineering. They are preparing very hard and this is very important for them, especially if they win,” added Amina Kozarić, member of the Organizing Committee of the Bosnian Science Olympiad that was held yesterday at the International Burch University in Sarajevo.

Older generation of scientists believe that the development of science and technology requires intergenerational exchange of knowledge and ideas, mutual support, and mutual respect.

About the creativity and quality of work of young investors speaks the fact that two projects from the last year’s Olympiad have been patented, and projects presented at this Olympiad have a great potential for wide application in the society because alternatives either cost too much or do not exist at all.
