Municipality finally allocates Money for the Damages after the Earthquake

After the terrible earthquake in Herzegovina in which a girl lost her life in Stolac on April 23, the Government of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton managed to secure funds of 400 thousand BAM for the affected areas.

The decision on securing funds for the rehabilitation of earthquake-affected areas in Herzegovina was adopted by the Government of the Croatian National Assembly, among others, at today’s session in Mostar.

An amount of 300 thousand BAM will be forwarded to the City of Stolac, and 100 thousand BAM to the City of Čapljina for the purpose of repairing the consequences of the earthquake that hit the southern parts of Herzegovina in April, with particularly devastating consequences in the area of ​​Stolac and Čapljina.

“By adopting this Decision, the Government of HNK once again confirmed its unquestionable readiness to help its areas affected by the natural disaster. The members of the Government also expressed their belief that all damages caused by the earthquake will be remedied as soon as possible, with the joint efforts of all levels of government. all for the benefit of the residents of the affected cities and municipalities,” the HNK Government stated.

Also, the Cantonal Government in Mostar adopted the Decision on initiating the procedure for the conclusion of contracts on out-of-court settlements and the payment of claims under concluded contracts in the amount of two million BAM, and the Cantonal Public Prosecutor’s Office is tasked with reconciling claims with the other contracting party and preparing contracts on out-of-court settlements for signing.
