The Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AFBiH), Colonel General Senad Masovic, talked with the Chief of the Operations Directorate of the NATO Joint Force Command in Naples, Rear Admiral Larry LeGreen, about current and future activities of the AFBiH within international military cooperation that contribute to the development of BiH on its Euro-Atlantic integration path.
General Masovic stressed that the AFBiH will be focused on strengthening cooperation with NATO, achieving an appropriate level of interoperability and capabilities, as well as strengthening regional cooperation, through expanding bilateral and other kinds of cooperation with the armed forces of neighboring countries in our region.
Among other things, he emphasized the efficiency of the AFBiH in difficult situations such as the COVID-19 pandemic, and also the continuity in implementing its activities in accordance with the legally defined mission and tasks, approved by the competent institutions in BiH.
Admiral LeGreen praised the involvement of members of the AFBiH in peace support operations so far, emphasizing their significant contribution to peacebuilding and joint security in the world, and pointed out that the NATO Joint Force Command in Naples will continue to provide necessary assistance to the AFBiH with the strong decision for continuation of providing support to the activities of the AFBiH in the execution of the mission and tasks defined by law, as well as to all activities of BiH on the path to European Union (EU) and NATO membership.
