The Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the President of the SDP BiH party, Nermin Nikšić, said that announcements about the establishment of a third entity or a special electoral unit, as well as separatist policies, are pre-election manipulations without a real foundation.
In a post on Facebook, Nikšić stated that the Office of the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina remains in full and unchanged capacity, with all previous authorizations.
“The facts are that there is nothing from a third entity or electoral unit, nor from any separatism. The same applies to the Office of the High Representative, which remains in its full, unchanged capacity and powers,” Nikšić stated.
He assessed that contrary claims are a deliberate deception of the public in order to gain pre-election points.
Commenting on the statements of SNSD president Milorad Dodik, Nikšić stated that his assertion that, according to the Dayton Peace Agreement, a high representative must be elected to the United Nations Security Council is not correct.
Nikšić connected Dodik’s position that Acting High Representative Louis J. Crishock was elected illegally with Russia’s position towards the OHR.
“Even though this position is wrong and unfounded, Dodik shows that his alleged commitment to cooperation with the United States of America is just political folklore for personal interest,” said Nikšić.
He added that, in his opinion, Dodik and SNSD remain politically tied to Russia’s interests in the Western Balkans.
