The B&H Olympic Committee (B&H OC) in the next ten days will organize the event “Olympic family-celebrating Olympics”, as part of the project that aims for a better and successful preparation and implementation of the major international sports competition-European Youth Olympic Winter Festival (EYOWF), which will be hosted in Sarajevo and East Sarajevo in 2017. Also, this project includes the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo.
Disciplines and generations, which will compete at the EYOWF 2017 will be promoted at the Olympic mountains on 31 January and 1-2 February. Also, an international competition in figure skating “Sarajevo Open 2014” will be held in Zetra.
Ski races in snowboards and parallel slalom will be held on Friday, on the first day of the event, on Bjelašnica at 12.00 and ski races in big slalom will be held on Jahorina at 10:00. These races promote disciplines and participants that will compete at the EYOWF 2017.
The show race of ambassadors, businesspeople and public figures will be held on Saturday on Jahorina at 11.00-15:00.
The official promotion of the projects EYOWF 2017 and “Olympic family-celebrating Olympics” will be held at the Hotel Termag from 15:45 until 17:30.
The exhibition “Olimpizam” will open on 7 February at the B&H Art Gallery. One day later on Bjelašnica, the Europe Cup in snowboard will be held, while the monograph on Sarajevo Olympics of Slobodan Stajić will be presented in Zetra.
