Public Company Motorways of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) signed a memorandum of cooperation with Public Company Motorways of Republika Srpska (RS) on linking the system of electronic toll collection using TAG devices throughout BiH.

Thus, users will be able to pass through the toll booths on the territory of the entire BiH, without stopping, paying the toll contactless by using their own TAG device with prior registration with another manager and top-up of the TAG device/user account.

”We expect that the unique charging system will increase traffic safety and reduce congestion on the motorways, ” it was saidfrom Motorways of FBiH.

The new method of toll payment should also relieve the flow of vehicles at toll ramps, and the advantage for citizens is that they will not have to wait in queues during peak season and will reach their desired destination as quickly as possible. The partnership between these two public companies aims to modernize the transport infrastructure and raise the quality of travel for all drivers in BiH.

To activate the service in FBiH, owners of TAG devices of another manager are required to submit the following documentation to the toll booths in Sarajevo North or Zenica South:

For natural persons, a completed and signed application form, a copy of the registration certificate and a TAG device. For legal entities, a completed and certified application form, a copy of the registration certificate, a copy of the ID number and the TAG device.

Other manager’s TAG devices will be programmed to the same license plates they were initially programmed to when the device was purchased, Biznis Info reports.
