Orange Warning issued for Sunday

Due to heavy rainfall and stormy winds announced in Bosnia and Herzegovina over the weekend, the Federal Meteorological Institute (FHMZ) issued an orange warning.

Heavy rainfall was announced in Herzegovina, while wind gusts are possible across the country.

The expected rainfall in most of Herzegovina on Saturday is between 60 and 80 liters, locally above 100 liters per square meter and in western Bosnia between 40 and 60 liters.

Between 40 and 60 are expected on Sunday in Herzegovina, about 80 liters per square meter locally, and between 20 and 40 liters in western Bosnia.

On Saturday and Sunday, most of the day and in much of the country winds are expected to hit south between 50 and 70, locally up to 80 kilometers per hour.
