Police Drill Nemila objektivno.baBig demonstration exercise of the members of special police units of the Federal Police Administration and the ministries of internal affairs of the Sarajevo Canton, the Tuzla Canton, the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and the Zenica-Doboj Canton was held yesterday at the locality of Nemila near Zenica.

Cannonball strikes, police, the sound of shields, arrests, sniffer dogs, armored vehicles and, in the end, a helicopter, briefly describe yesterday’s action performed at the polygon for exercises in Nemila by nearly 600 police officers from five abovementioned police agencies. The drill also presented and demonstrated the response and behavior of police forces on control and establishment of disturbed public peace which turns into a crisis situation. The action which lasted for around 15 minutes ended with the landing of a police helicopter which was flying over the polygon all the time during the performance of the drill in the presence of high officials.

Director of the Federal Police Administration Dragan Lukač said that yesterday’s action is an indicator of readiness of police officers even in cases of joint action.

“The police of the FB&H have the capacity to offer safety to each citizen. We are trying to create police capacities in FB&H also in the approach that we have had today, with joint police action by several police administrations in B&H. From the viewpoint of coordination and fit-out, these forces can solve any crisis situation regardless of at which territory of the FB&H or to which extent it appears. Our police can stand up to anything and solve it, thus leaving no space for fear and negative evaluations. I can assure you that we will ensure our successful action today, tomorrow, and always, and provide safety in B&H as requested from us”, Lukač said.
