Pope Francis met with Priests in Sarajevo Cathedral

Pope Francis cathedral2After the Mass and lunch in the premises of the Apostolic Nunciature in Sarajevo, Pope Francis arrived to the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart where he met with priests, nuns and seminarians.

After the Cathedral, Pope will go to the Franciscan international student center where he will hold an ecumenical and inter religious meeting.

Pope Francis is welcomed by the rector cardinal Mosgr. Ante Mestrovic and cardinal pastor Marko Majstorovic. Several hundreds of citizens of Sarajevo , but also believers from all around the world who wanted to see the Pope attended to the welcoming of Pope.

There is a large number of journalists as from B&H as well as from other countries of Europe are in front of the Cathedral.

Attendees are able to monitor the program from Sarajevo Cathedral through the big monitor in front of the Cathedral.

At 6.30 p.m. Pope Francis will visit the Archdiocesan Center for pastoral of youth “John Paul II“.

The central event of Pope’s visit was Mass that was held at the stadium Kosevo, which was attended by around 65.000 people. Pope was accompanied from the stadium with shouts: “Pope, we love you“. Believers, pilgrims and other visitors sought to get as closer as possible to Pope and shake hands with him.
