Thanks to the nobility of good people from Cazin and the Diaspora, who were united in order to help 30-year-old Elvedin Tatarevic, a participant of the “Let’s Give them a Home” campaign, a new house was built in record time, Avaz news portal reports.
It is a 6×7 meter ground floor house built by good people in just a few months, and these days Elvedin has moved into his new home. The old house, where living conditions were far from acceptable, was replaced by a new one, which marked the beginning of a whole new life for this man.
It should be noted that this young man has lived in extremely poor conditions since birth. Elvedin’s old house was demolished and a new one built, and in just over four months. A great number of good people became involved in the action, contributing their money, belongings, technology, furniture and materials to build a home.
“Everything is going as planned thanks to the people who have responded to help. The electricity is connected, the bathroom is renovated and equipped, the kitchen has yet to be installed, and the small living room is also equipped. There is little to be done until the works are fully finalized,” said Hasib Tatarevic, Elvedin’s uncle, who made a major contribution to this action.
Hasib points out that about 30,000 BAM has been spent on the works so far, pointing out that some companies and individuals have done a great deal of work at home for free or with discounts.
