On 21 June 2021, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina /Court of BiH, Court/ issued a Decision terminating pre-trial custody of the accused Višnja Aćimović ordered  by the Decision of the Court no. S1 1 K 024299 17 Kro of 12 October 2017 on the grounds of Article 132(1(a) of the Criminal Procedure Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Office of the War Crimes Prosecutor of the Republic of Serbia informed the Court of BiH through the Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina that it would take over the criminal prosecution of the accused Višnja Aćimović. The Court issued an Order withdrawing its Order no. S1 1 K 024299 17 Kro of 30 January 2019 based on which an international warrant seeking the arrest of the accused Višnja Aćimović was issued.

On 7 February 2017, the Court of BiH confirmed Indictment against the accused Višnja Aćimović for the criminal offense of War Crimes against Civilians under Article 173(1)(c) as read with Article 29 and Article 180(1) of the Criminal Code of BiH. According to the charges, in early June 1992, at a site between Metalište and Zalukovlje called Mračni dol in close vicinity of the Sušica camp, municipality of Vlasenica, the accused Višnja Aćimović, without any official position in the Army of the Serbian Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, knowingly and willingly, in concert with a number of unidentified armed members of the VRS /Army of the Republika Srpska/, participated in the killings of 37 Bosniak men who were bussed to that location from a prison located behind the courthouse in Vlasenica.
