sleuthTomorrow, 18 June, citizens of Sarajevo will have the opportunity to see the play ‘Sleuth’ written by Anthony Shaffer. The play will be shown in Youth Theatre Sarajevo at 8 p.m., reports Fena.

The play is a diploma piece of Edin Avdagić who’ll act together with Mario Drmać.

Drmać noted at today’s press conference in Sarajevo, that even though the film was based on this play, he used his own skill to direct the play adding that he always liked investigative stories.

‘In the play I am an egocentric, old writer who tries to make life more interesting by making various schemes. It is a life that I love- to make a playful stage’, said Drmać.

Avadagić said that this is his first great role, and the fact that his diploma play will be shown in theatre is a motivation to continue acting.

Avdagić said that the play tackles everyday life and various themes such as crimes, revenge, vanity and it also tackles our ability to spy on others without being discovered and punished.

The play was written in 1970 and it won numerous awards and several films were based on the play.

The expert associate of the play is Ermin Bravo, while the scenery was done by Tanja and Stjepan Roš.

The play talks about eccentric crime novelist Andrew Wyke who calls Milo Tindle who is a lover of his wife to persuade him to do robbery which would cheat on the insurance company. It is a melodrama with witty and funny dialogues that turns in the dark game where one character loses his identity.
