The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said that he was surprised by the meeting two days ago in Paris between the members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Denis Becirovic, and Zeljko Komsic, with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.
“He chose which representatives of BiH he wanted to meet with. It’s strange that they accepted it,” said Vucic.
Vucic emphasized that there are “double standards” and “hypocritical approaches” in solving problems in the area of the former Yugoslavia, “where somewhere you recognize territorial integrity, but somewhere you demand that territorial integrity be respected.”
“And on the other hand, from whom you ask to respect that territorial integrity, you do not recognize their integrity,” Vucic added.
Moreover, he pointed out that it is good that Serbia “knows where they are” and knows “who it is dealing with”.
Vucic said that yesterday he had a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron and that one of the topics was the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, and that he does not believe that there will be progress as long as Albin Kurti is the prime minister of Kosovo.
“There is not much to interpret there, I think it is now clear to everyone in the West that Kurti does not want to form the Association of Serbian Municipalities at all, that he does not want any progress in the dialogue, and that everything else was Balkan tricks that may work once or twice, but certainly not in the long term,” said Vucic.
He added that it is important for Belgrade to preserve peace and the lives of Serbs in Kosovo.
In the end, Vucic stated that he did not plan to meet Kurti in Paris, explaining that he did not know what to discuss with him, Klix.ba reports.
