Due to the blockade of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), whose work has been obstructed for months by Republika Srpska (RS) member Milorad Dodik, numerous agreements worth a total of 1.2 billion BAM are on hold.

Analyzing the current situation when it comes to unsigned international agreements, the Cabinet of the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Zeljko Komsic, made an analysis that shows the consequences of such a policy.

One of the projects awaiting the decision of the Presidency of BiH is the renovation of roads in the Federation of BiH (FBiH) financed by the European Investment Bank (EIB) in the amount of 97.791.500 BAM. The approval of funds for the construction of part of the Vc corridor in the amount of 700.000.000 BAM, provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), is also on hold.

In addition, funds intended for ”Vodovodi RS” in the amount of 97.791.500 BAM financed by the EIB, but also the ”Vodovodi in Brcko” (12.712.895 BAM) are on hold.

Furthermore, the grant of the Government of Japan for the management of the migrant crisis (7.656.484 BAM) and the grant for equipping hospitals in BiH (1.531.296 BAM) are also unused.

The money intended for cross-border cooperation between BiH and Serbia in the amount of 3.520.494 BAM, financed by the European Union (EU), is also pending.

The total amount of all funds awaiting the decision of the Presidency of BiH is 1.208.165.505 BAM.
