Milk Exporters on the EC Decision novovrijeme.baInvestments and intensive activities which have been implemented by the Municipality of Kakanj over the past two years for the faster development of agricultural production and cattle breeding are already yielding first significant results.

Significant production of milk was recorded at the territory of Kakanj Municipality in the first quarter of this year, when 163.411 liters of milk were purchased.

For those who buy milk in stores regularly this number means nothing. However, those who know that two years ago the production of milk at the territory of Kakanj amounted to humble 15.000 liters during one quarter, then the progress in the production of milk is certainly evident.

In the first quarter of last year, 133.525 liters of milk were bought in Kakanj, while 94.441 liters of milk were bought in the last quarter of 2014. Increased production of milk this year shows that milk producers are genuinely interested in production and that they can place their products on the market.

“Hard work of agricultural producers from Kakanj and all significant help provided by the Municipality of Kakanj are already yielding top results. Municipal incentive for the production of fresh cow milk for the first quarter will be paid to 77 producers of fresh cow milk from the territory of Kakanj,” stated the relevant municipal service.
