Regional Carrier could start Flights from Tuzla Airport

After the Wizz Air company shut down the base and suspended most of the flights from Tuzla, and after the plan to make up for the loss through an agreement with travel agencies failed, new hope appeared.

Namely, the regional carrier Air Montenegro could start flights from Tuzla to Europe.

It was already announced earlier that this company is talking to the management of the Tuzla airport, but there is no official information that an agreement on starting flights has been reached.

However, it is interesting that a flight between Cologne and Tuzla has already been scheduled at the airport of this Germany city, with an Air Montenegro plane. Flights can be found in the schedule as early as November 1st.

Recently, Marko Anzur, CEO of Air Montenegro said that there are no confirmations for these flights now.

To recall, it was previously announced that Trade Air no longer negotiates with Tuzla Airport for flights from this city. Namely, one of Tuzla Airport’s plans was for travel agencies to take over the sale and risk of flights. But the travel agencies decided that it was too much of a risk for them.

According to the current number of lines and frequencies, Tuzla Airport will have around 150-170,000 passengers per year, which is significantly less than it had in previous years.

It is hard to believe that Air Montenegro, the Montenegrin national carrier, can completely replace the flights of a giant like Wizz Air.

However, any new line to Europe at this moment would mean a lot not only for Tuzla Airport but also for the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Biznis Info reports.
