Register of Contracting Authority and Suppliers in BiH Available

The BiH Public Procurement Agency, with the technical support of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and in the framework of strengthening public institutions, created and set in motion the Register of Contracting Authorities and Bidders in BiH.

The Register is available from 1 February on the website www.registar.ajn.gov.ba and provides an opportunity to create and publish a free web presentation of all economic endeavors in BiH—potential bidders in public procurement and functional and intuitive representations via the internet to all potential buyers.

The register has been developed to improve cooperation between participants in public procurements and to simplify access to data on goods, services and works that are the subject of public procurement.

The Public Procurement Agency called all companies in BiH to complete registration of their endeavors in this system and to positively present their organization in the BiH public sector.

The bodies that act in accordance with the Law on Public Procurement in BiH can more easily identify suppliers and familiarize themselves with the products and services they offer, their business capacity and references, and to contact suppliers using the information provided in the Register.

With this, competition and transparency will increase in public procurement procedures for those who are not obliged under the law to issue a publication of notices on public procurements.
