In the locality of Okoliša, Višegrad municipality, the remains of at least five people were found, and the search continued.
The investigator from the Special Department for War Crimes is on the ground, in this locality, where, by order of the acting prosecutor and with the order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, she coordinates the work of all officials participating in the process of exhumation and searching for missing persons.
After the exhumation, the remains will be transferred to the Municipal Cemetery “Miljevići” in East Sarajevo for further forensic-medical processing and identification of identity through DNA analysis – announced the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
In this case, the information and knowledge about the location of the remains was obtained through the joint and coordinated work of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, SIPA and the Institute for Missing Persons of BiH.
The permanent forensic expert-pathologist, a representative of the Institute for Missing Persons (INO) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, necessary workers and machinery, police officers of SIPA are present at the exhumation, and the location is secured by police officers of PS Višegrad.
